Historic Sites
New Jersey is a state full of history. There are many places to visit that showcase this. I personally enjoy visiting Smithville, the Cape May Lighthouse, SS Atlantus, and a WWII lookout tower. Smithville is in Galloway, NJ, right near Stockton University. This small town is open every day all year round. Walk along the cobblestone pathways and bridges and you will be sent back in time. There are a total of 60 shops to visit and enjoy. Each store has a small business and homey feel. smithville started at the Historic Smithville Inn in 1787. They offer a sophisticated dining experience. They also have the Colonial Inn Bed and Breakfast where they recommend spending at least two nights. This ensures that you can experience everything the town has to offer. Every weekend, Smithville has an array of events that can be participated in. one of my favorites is the Renaissance Fair.
