Escape Rooms


Escape rooms are important for snowy or rainy New Jersey days. They’re perfect for date nights, birthdays, or any celebration. Many companies go to escape rooms to help with team building. They are a great way to really understand how the people around you work and think.

When booking an escape room, the players have an opportunity to pick the difficulty level and the theme of the room. The three themes that I have done were the Laboratory, Wizarding Hour, and T-Rex Lockdown. The difficulty has gone up with each room that I have completed. They were all incredibly fun and exciting.

The object of an escape room is escaping the room! The workers explain the theme and then leave you with a tv displaying a count down. They give you an hour and the timer counts down by the second. You have to explore the room and find clues. You have to work together to put the clues together to make a coherent thought. Most of the time, the answer is a combination that has to be put into a lock. Once that lock is opened, more clues are unraveled that need solving!

It is satisfying to figure everything out and successfully find the next clue. Sometimes you can be in a rut and ask the workers for a hint. They allow up to three hints. The workers will display the hint on the tv in the room. The harder the room, the more hints needed.

It is fun to put your brains together and wonder about the room putting clues together. The rooms are designed in a perfect way. They really make you feel like you are assigned a mission and need to save the day! Pictures and props are always important. The mission of escape rooms vary. Sometimes the final thing to find is the key to exit the room. Sometimes there is a mission to save the day by disassembling a bomb, or to solve a scientist’s theory. Once this mission is completed, the door opens. Whatever the mission, it is always fun.

New Jersey has escape rooms scattered throughout the entire state. I have gone to Amazing Escape Room in Cherry Hill and Exit 4 Escape Rooms in Collingswood. Wherever someone is located, they are always near a fun and thrilling adventure!

New Jersey is a beautiful state to live in and visit. There are a lot of national and state parks within this 8,723 square mile state. It is a park that experiences all four seasons which makes the nature within it that much more beautiful. My favorite park to visit is Cooper River Park. Zoos & Aquariums

Zoos and aquariums are important to every state. They help preserve and save endangered species. They care for wounded wildlife and sea life. Animals are nursed to health at these sanctuaries. By visiting these beautiful animals, money is raised towards their survival. New Jersey has a large variety of zoos and aquariums that can be visited. I personally have been to five. My favorite to visit is the Cape May County Park and Zoo. It does not have a set price; at the entrance there is a mail box where they will accept any donation that can be made. Cape May has lions, snow leopards, giraffes, bears, camels, deer, birds, foxes, a reptile house, a bird house, a petting zoo, and much more. They have a large park with a playground and many picnic tables next to coal grills. This is a great place to spend the entire day. There is plenty to do and see at this zoo. Ski Resorts

New Jersey Ski Resorts are a rare sight but we definitely have them! And they are definitely worth visiting. You can’t forget about winter time. There are 3 ski resorts in the lovely state of NJ. The first ski resort is Mountain Creek in Vernon Township, NJ. It is 47 miles from NYC. It is the largest Ski Resort in New Jersey. This resort has 167 skiable acres and 4 interconnected peaks. They have a total of 7 ski lifts. Mountain Creek is known for being a resort that teaches. They offer golf, lodging, spa amenities, skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, many restaurants, and much more. A one day pass to all of these activities is $79 for adults and $59 for children. It might seem a little pricy but it is worth it. The fun from snow tubing alone pays for the ticket twice. The next ski resort is Campgaw Mountain in Mahwah, NJ. They are part of the Ramapo Mountain Region. There are 1.3 km of slopes and 2 ski lifts to transport guests.
